Friendly service, good food, shutters with Rostkraut and dumplings with a lot of sauce, everything made to be full.

On the occasion of our wedding day we drove extra to Ilmenau to eat these delicious dumplings. We were surprised with a gift from the innkeeper's which we were very pleased. We can only recommend the toboggans. Very nice people and delicious food!

We arrived spontaneously and received a warm welcome. The loving service and hospitality are still true virtues and good old school. The food is very tasty and spoiled the palate with home-style home-style cooking and dishes. The Mutesbraten and the Rinderrouladen were like from the picture book. The meat exactly as it should be. Served together with apple red cabbage and butter beans and delicious sauce complete the picture. The real Thuringian dumplings are just delicious! We had very nice weather and could enjoy our food in the open air to a wonderful view over Ilmenau. We will come back in any case. Thank you again and an extra compliment to the chef!

Visited spontaneously on the 4th Advent. Delicious food without reservation with luck. There were 4 meat variants to choose from. We chose veal and deer. Tender meat, delicious Thuringian dumplings, super sauce, red cabbage and salsify. A pleasure. The pictures say everything.

The landlord is super nice and has also surrounded with quick-witted staff. Very delicious food ... Even Kloss with sauce reached there completely saturated to continue hiking.

Good selection of Thuringian food, which is served on the table shortly after ordering. Food was delicious and was sufficient. The prices are justified. Parking spaces are in front of it, toilets and hospitality are clean and comfortable. The host was nice. We will definitely go back.

A great restaurant with a good view and good Thuringian cuisine. Highly recommended, especially for dumplings on Sundays, where there is also a second helping if the first portion was not enough. On Sunday, however, a reservation must be made in advance, as the places are very popular.

Very good location with a wonderful view over Ilmenau. We had roulade and meat roast for lunch in an unexpectedly good quality and quantity. The hosts are very friendly and offer very good service. We recommend!!

This restaurant has very poor customer service. We do not speak much German, so when we called, we were hung up on 3 different occasions. The last time I called, I spoke German. The owner still hung up on me. We were very much looking forward to trying the food at this restaurant, but with the poor customer service, we are more than happy to take our money elsewhere. It's too bad the owner didn't even give us a chance.

Super food the innkeeper is very nice just a great inn.
